(65,7KB) Version 1.1 (12/14/07) - Added some stuff. ============================================================================== Introduction [PR.02.01] ============================================================================== Taken from the official manual: "The world is full of stories, and from time to time they permit themselves to be told. The skies caught fire, bathing the Roadhouse in a harsh green glow. The earth shook as if giants were lumbering towards us. Before we could find cover, light bored through the roof, ripping it to shreds. No one had time to react as the giant craft above us sucked everybody up with a whirring thunder. Just minutes before, callers flooded radio talk-shows, reporting strange lights in the sky throughout the southwest. The media was loath to report these sightings, figuring them to be pranks. But soon the truth became evident. There were... things in the sky, large flying discs, sending forth wide iridescent beams. People yellow, "They're coming! They're coming!" But they weren't coming -- they were already here." ============================================================================== Walkthrough [PR.03.01] ============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Last Call [PR.03.02] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You start in the bathroom and Tommy is looking in the mirror. He's in a bar owned by Jen, and he wants her to come along with him. Leave the bathroom and find the entrance to the bar. The grandfather of Tommy will block the path and start some Indian-stories. He says something will happen tonight. Walk to the mans at the bar to overhear a conversation. Jen will give you some attention. Pick the wrench up and the guys at the bar want some more beer. You can change the music, play some games, whatever you like. First walk to the men, then walk to your grandfather. Soon a bunch of wolves will start to howl and Jen gives you attention again. Have a chat with her. The men want some more beer, but they aren't getting any. They soon get aggressive. Walk over to them and kick their ass. Once they are down, an emergency show will start on TV. Green lights will show up and... you are all carried onto some UFO. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Escape Velocity [PR.03.03] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The first part is just 'enjoying' a ride. Ride, ride, ride the boat... okay, I'll leave it at that. Soon enough someone called Hider will blow a part of the ride up, and you'll fall down. Time for some action! Walk forward through the... organic thing (something else comes to mind, but I think IGN won't like me saying that :p). Crawl to the next area ('C') to find your first enemy. It's a bit like a puppy, but hostile. Smash smash! Be sure to ask the man if he's okay before activating the console and moving on. Hider will guide you further, but there are more of those enemies in the way. Get rid of them and crawl into the small room. Nothing to see here, right? Move to the other side of the device and notice it's actually a portal. Go check the other side, nothing's there. If you think this is weird, you only saw the tip of the iceberg. Step into the side of the device that's a portal. Move on and you'll find yourself in some kind of hall... and the people on the other side of the hall are upside down. You'll be able to go left and right. Head left first for a laugh, then head right. More playing with gravity here. Move on to find the first health-pads. They'll heal you when you walk over them. Notice the same portal device. Enter it from the correct side. Enter the door ahead and active your lighter ('F'). Get rid of the three puppy-like enemies and move ahead. This is where you'll see a random person getting tortured. Keep moving to find Jen. Nothing you can do, so just move on. As soon as you entered the new room, you'll find your grandfather. Not soon after he'll die just like the other person. Hider will stop the machine and create a portal for you. Enter the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Downward Spiral [PR.03.04] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This'll be your first real experience with portals at the same location. If you like to see how other people suffer pain, go ahead and active the console on your left side. Either way, be sure you get yourself healed by the... thing on your right. When you continue, you'll find your first Hunter. Shoot it to get its gun. You'll see a kid running off. Better follow it! As soon as you move on, a Hunter will open a portal and come though. Shoot it, and enter the portal to get healed. Note this area - we'll see it again later. Head back and active the console. Jump down into the fleshy area. A newscast will start, which may be interesting to listen to. If not, push the strange 'ball' onto the hole and shoot it. The ball will explode, and the hole will open. Jump down. In the room awaiting two ships will land, each containing one Hunter. Get rid of both. Follow the path to find a dead-end. No worries here though. In this room you'll find a supply-booth. Open it for some ammo. Get back into the previous room and jump down. Walk over the small creatures, just to find to find out they are actually grenades. Notice the blue walking-pad. Walk over it like gravity isn't an issue. O wait, it isn't! Is your mind still there? Keep moving to end up on solid ground again. Kill the enemies ahead to find the second walking-pad. Needless to say you need to walk over it. Kill the enemies you encounter and end up on solid ground. Get healed if needed and then move on. Use the supply-booth for ammo and notice the sound of someone kicking at a metal object. Also notice the box up ahead. When you approach it, it'll fall over and one of those puppy-enemies will come out. Not just that, but you're able to enter it too! You think this is all the game has to over? O boy! The next 2 minutes will blow your brain out. Move on soldier. Note the small planet in the box of glass. Saw it? Good! Now enter the box with a portal up ahead. You'll end up on the same planet you just saw. On top of that, Hunters will approach and attack you. Two of them, to be exact. Get rid of them and just follow the lights to find the next portal. Enter it. Tommy say that was fucked up, but soon after discovers THIS is fucked up. Smart thinking Tommy. This is the first real experience you'll have with close-portuality (I just made that word up, don't bother looking it up). Watch out for the puke-holes (WHAT ELSE TO NAME THEM?) when you move to the portal ahead. Note how you can see yourself? Don't shoot, it'll hurt. ALRIGHT FINE! SHOOT! FIND IT OUT THE HARD WAY! Get the ammo ahead (shooting the holes makes them bleed, and then shut up) and enter the next portal. Avoid more of the holes to find Jen. Kill the zombie behind the machine and move on to the next room. Don't waste ammo on the human, a Hunter will show up right after. Bang bang! When you enter the next main room, two 'Dogs' will show up plus a Hunter. Get rid of them. Enter the hall and get ammo from the supply-box if you need it. The next room contains... not much. Heal yourself and then activate the console to open the core. This will active a walking-path which you'll use. Shoot enemies if you like that. As long as you keep walking. You'll end up (upside-down) into a room with just a few zombies. Kill them from your current location as much as possible and get rid of the rest the normal way. Find an explosive ball and guide it towards the blocked door. Open the passage and enter it. Kill the Hunter that shows up and move on. Remember I told you to remember a certain area after you entered the first 'real' portal? No? Okay. Yes? GOOD! This is the area. Walk to the other side to get ammo, then walk back to... be shot at and fall down. Dead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rites of Passage [PR.03.05] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A world made out of stone, you may wonder what this is. Don't worry, Tommy is confused too. Just follow Talon, your old pet hawk. When your grandfather appears, talk with him. Enter the room your grandfather shows you. Follow it until you end up in a room with fire. Apparently it's impossible to jump through, so some Indian thing is needed. Head into SW-mode (Spirit Walk-mode, 'E') and cross the fire. Touch the 'console' ahead. Now you need to return to your body. No need to walk (fly, whatever) all the way back, just press 'E' again. Enter the next room to find the bow. Enter SW-mode and get it. After a short that you'll be send back into the 'real' world. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Second Chances [PR.03.06] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get rid of the two zombies for starters (be sure to switch back to your gun). You'll hear the voice of a woman, out of nowhere. It's the ship that's speaking to you. When she's done an explosive ball will show up. Use it to open the hole in the floor and go down. Follow the path until you find yourself stuck behind (or in front of) a blue barrier. Use your spirit to deal with the enemies and then press the console on the other side to lower the shield. Be sure to grab the ammo on the platform too. Move on. Hider will kill someone and scare poor Tommy. Keep going until you found another shield. Kill the Hunter as a spirit and lower the shield. When you enter the room another Hunter will spawn. Kill it and then walk onto the walking-pad. If you want a laugh head back when the Hunter sees you and deactive the walking pad. This'll cause him to fall down. Either way get to the end of the walking pad (kill the Hunter behind you) and head into SW-mode. Spirits still seem to obey gravity, so follow the path until you end up in a room. Use the console and head back to Tommy. He'll be on a platform that moves to the other side. When you get to the other side, a Hunter will appear. Boom. Head into the room again. A new weapon will appear, so grab it. Because of this, about 4 Hunters will show up. Kill them and move on. You'll find some weird device. With the new gun, press the right mouse button to leech it. Depending on the device, the gun will act different. Follow the path, and be sure to destroy the tentacles from a distance. Time for 'this will cause problems later on when people find out about this' action. You'll see two kids. One will get possessed and kill the other kid, by, frankly, throwing him into a big spike. Lovely. Move on. You'll find another device, but this time it's blue. This'll freeze your enemies, but make sure that you do it properly, or they'll still attack you. Kill the two enemies that are ahead. If you want some ammo and health, follow the hallway to find some enemies, ammo and health. When you're done, or not interested for that matter, find the two boxes. This is where the fun starts. One box leads to the other, so you can keep moving in circles (well... not really a circle, but you get my point, don't you?). The other one seems to lead to a door, but when you enter it... Gravity will come into play. Sick yet? ;) By shooting the blue pads on the walls, gravity will move that way too. Get the ammo if you want and navigate yourself to the portal. Enter it. The Hunters here will be sniping, so it's best to snipe too. Get rid of the 4 Hunters and move on. Drop down onto the platform below and look up. The other side is actually a portal, and it shows access to a gravity-pad. Shoot it to enter. Head into SW-mode to find a secret area with some ammo. Go around the corner into normal mode and shoot the gravity pads up ahead, following the path. You will end up looking at the bar from the intro of the game. Kill the Hunters and shoot the gravity-pad that's behind the bar (where Jen stood). Head into SW-mode to find a secret path that leads to some ammo. After that jump down into the bar. A few more Hunters will show up, so get rid of them. After they are defeated, a lot of portals will show up. When you look into them, you'll see yourself, so don't go shooting. Enter the portal that showed up at the exit of the bar, to find a new portal. Enter that (end of demo). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All Fall Down [PR.03.07] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ When you go around the corner you'll find Jen... they sure take long to kill her, but that's just me. From that position you'll be able to see a Hunter. Snipe it down and enter the next room. Get rid of the zombie and find the console to active the walking-pad. Once it's activated, walk over it. This is the first time and enemy will bother you when on a walking-pad. A Hunter will show up and deactive the walking-pad. Kill it, active it again and follow it to the next room. Kill the enemies you see and head back to solid ground. Another one of those puppies will show up, so kill it. When you took care of that use an explosive ball to blow up the barrier. Head into SW-mode and follow the path. Active the console to lower the shield, then leave SW-mode. In the room ahead you'll find two Hunters. Take care of them and then look behind you to find another path. Follow it until you find a zombie. Shoot it and listen to another news broadcast from earth. Take the remaining path to end up at the upper part of the big room. Two more Hunters will show up. One behind you on a platform, the other on the lower level. Not just that, but you'll meet a new enemy - it's some kind of explosive drone. Destroy it before it gets close. When it's been taken care of, crawl inside the tube and follow it. Kill the 'dog' and drop down. Follow the path of gore to hear a kid. The kid will get killed. Shocked yet? Keep going to drop down into another room. Yet another 'dog'. Kill it, then take care of the Hunters up ahead. Once they are down, look up to find a gravity-pad. Shoot it, move a bit further and shoot the other one, so you're back in the original position, just on the other side of the room. Active both consoles to find two different portals. The one of the left will only lead to some health. Grab that and then enter the right one. Destroy the puke-holes and grab whatever you need. Play some poker if you want, you can't even lose! A winner is you! Head back to the portal you came from to end up in a room with zombies. Kill the zombie and step onto the elevator. Hider will be there, saying weird stuff. Woosh, the elevator goes up! Strange things will happen outside and Tommy seems slightly confused. When you are all the way up, enter the room ahead. Get some ammo and then move on. The demon kid will show up again, possibly scaring you. Look up to find a gravity-pad. Shoot it and enter the portal to end up in a room covered in blood, and messages written in blood saying 'I want to go home'. You'll see the demon kid again too. Fun times. Step onto the platform in the middle of the room to hear some kids scream. The demon kid will show up (actually it has twins, it seems) and attack you. Keep shooting until she disappears. After telling you she doesn't like you she'll come back again. Keep shooting until she's gone. You can get some ammo and health by jumping into the hole in the wall. After that, find the room that opened for you. The ship will tell you, you are an interesting little bug. Ignore it, you're a human. Just move on, entering the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Crash Landing [PR.03.08] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Head into SW-mode to get into the room. Use the console to lower the shield, and then start shooting the Hunters. They may enable the alarm system, which'll cause a turret to shoot at you. You can disable it using a console. Find the console next to a big door. Active it to head outside. Head into SW-mode again and lower the shield. Follow the path as Tommy. Kill the 2 Hunters that show up and find the new device. This'll allow you to use lightning as your weapon. Drop down onto the lower floor and kill the 2 'Dogs'. Note the jellyfish in the air. Destroy it too. When you proceed, more enemies will show up, including Hunters that'll snip. Hide behind the big 'tentacle' and take care of enemies that are close first. After that snipe the Hunters down one by one and continue. Head into SW-mode to find a hidden bridge. Use that to active the console for the elevator. As Tommy, mount the elevator, go up and enter the portal. You'll see a Hunter, but he'll get killed by some kind of protection. Use the gravity-pad to pass this barrier. When you passed it, 'fix' the room again by shooting the other gravity-pad. Destroy the 3 Puppies and active the console to lower the shield. Enter the big door. If you saw some IGN footage you probably saw this puzzle too. Step into the portal (get some ammo too, why don't you) and active the console. The 'door' will move to the other side of the room. Step out of it. If you want some more ammo, find the portal that leads back to the big outdoor area you've seen. After that enter the door. Kill the zombies and note the turret. Take it out (hide, shoot, hide, shoot) and enter the next room. Follow the path (you can't take care of the enemies from here) to find a door that needs a code. If you go back and check around, you'll find a display with '1623'. Enter that code at the panel (wait until you are able to see the digits) and enter the room ahead. Unless you care for some story-related stuff. In that case head into SW-mode, and enter the room where you saw the code. Active the console to lower the field. Enter that as Tommy and talk with the man hiding. Anyway, enter the next room. Destroy the turret and the hunters to make life easier. From the beginning of the room, look up to find a hidden gravity-pad. Shoot it and follow the shaft. At the end, look up ahead and shoot the gravity-pad to end up at the other side of the room. Enter the room and grab the ammo you need. Also notice the displays. The left one shows Jen, the right one shows you (in action, really nice shots they made). Move along. A lot of fighting in this room. Kill them all, and then find the shield. Use SW-mode to active the console. This will lower the elevator. Step onto it and use the console again. If you care for ammo, you can use the pipes to get to the platform on the other side of the room. Once you went there, 2 more Hunters will show up. Head back and enter the door next to the elevator. Kill the zombie here and move on. A demon will pass the room, but don't do a thing. Head to the other side and enter the portal to end up in a room with lots of walking-pads. Walk to the other side of the room (don't use a pad yet, just get there the normal way) and follow the walking-pad here to find a Hunter. Kill him, then active the console. This will cause the walking-pads to move around, allowing you to get to the other side. Once there, enter the portal. Kill the Hunters. There are two portal here, one leading to where you already went, the other to the same room, just the other way around... side-ways. From here you can enter two more portals. One will just lead back to the same room upside down, so take the other one. Kill the 'dog' and the Hunter and look at the display. It shows '2724'. Use the code to unlock the door. Enter the room and take the elevator down. You'll end up in the room with the 'dogs'. Kill them all (staying on the elevator is a good idea, they don't seem to understand that they can step on it too) and head into SW-mode to find a hidden area with ammo. Active the console to use the walking-pad. Follow it and you'll hear another news broadcast. Once done, active the console to open a portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sacrifices [PR.03.09] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow the path while killing your friends. After a while you'll find a display with the code '0634'. Head back to the beginning of the level and enter that code. This will open a portal, so enter it. Note the schoolbus. The wheels of the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round, the wheels of the bus go round and round, all, day, long! Schoolbus... kids... yes, a battle is coming up! Head into SW-mode and active the console to open a new portal. When you come near it, it'll shut down and kids show up. Get rid of them and enter the portal. Drop down and kill the enemies. Follow the path and note the big portal at a lower level. Keep going until you end up in a room with Hunters. Kill them and use the console to change the active walking-pad. Step onto it and try to reach the portal. Hunters will show up and change the active walking-pad. Kill them, switch back and go for the portal again. Once again Hunters will show up, but just run to the portal and enter it. Kill the puppies that pop up, grab the ammo and then use the explosive ball to open the hole in the ground. Go down and find a dead Hunter. You'll use his hand to active the panel. Pretty funny. Keep going and pop down two more puppies. Then drop down again for a boss. This'll get really ugly. Tommy is trapped in his current location and sees a human who is teleported onto the arena. A big monster will show up and kill him. The 'cage' you are in will fall down and it's time to fight the beast. There are two areas where you can hide from the beast, which is in two corners behind some pillars. The beast is too big to get there. I suggest to go there, since he'll spawn some minions too. Once those are taken care of find one of the two 'halls'. Inside you'll find ammo, health and a console. Active the console to raise a shield. The beast will crack open the shield and put one of his arms inside to shoot at you. At that point you need to use the console a second time, to cut his arm off and get a gun. Use the gun against him. Once he's dead the ship will say something and a Hunter shows up. Enter the portal he came from. If you didn't get the big gun from the boss, you can get it in this room too. Enter the next room and destroy the turret and Hunters. Once you move further into the room, more Hunters will show up. You know what to do. Stay on the lower level and enter the room with the force-field. Active the panel and use the walking-pad to get to the other room. Here, you can open a door that leads to a hall, using a console. Get some ammo (look up too) and note the sounds up ahead. Let's go check out the fun! You'll find your little friend, but he runs up. Just move ahead to end up in the room with the teleporter. Kill the enemies and active the console (another Hunter will show up, are you even surprised?). The portal will slow down, so you can enter. Kill the weird enemy that pops up from the ground and enter the portal. Your grandfather suddenly calls for you and you will move to the land of the spirits. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There Are Others [PR.03.10] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Find your grandfather and talk with him. Head to the area where you got your bow, and you'll see Jen is still alive. Tommy says he doesn't have time, his grandfather will talk about fires... bang! Back to the real world... world... ship... whatever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Guiding Fires [PR.03.11] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Leave the room to end up outside. Note how the Hunter is battling the Jellyfish. They don't seem to be friends. You can battle both Jellyfishes or just find the two panels and use them to lower the lasers in front of the elevator. Be sure to grab the ammo too, then head inside the elevator. You are currently at the first floor. The third floor contains a demon (shoot it in SW-mode), some health and ammo. The second floor contains Hunters and a vehicle. Kill the Hunters and then step into a vehicle. Find a docking station after flying around a bit. Use the right mouse button to connect to it, and leave it. From that location, enter the door. After your friend left, kill the Hunters. Head to the second level and find the console (not the alarm system, please). This will activate the walking-pad. Head up and at the end, jump off. Use both consoles. One will create a portal that leads to the first floor, which you can use to get outside. Get outside. Quickly enter the vehicle and destroy the enemies up ahead. After they are destroyed you can enter a big door (with your vehicle) you just opened. It's close to the fire. Once there, leave the thing again and follow the path, killing enemies, until you found a docking stage again. Get inside a vehicle once more. Follow the tube, avoiding enemies, projectiles and other things that damage your vehicle. You'll find a part where two parts of the tunnel are broken up and move around. Enter it, wait until it went to the left side and continue. Keep going down while taking out enemies. Once you found a docking station, leave the vehicle. There are various doors here. For ammo, head into SW-mode and cross the hidden bridge. Enter the room for a variety of ammo. The middle door will lead to a walking-pad. The one to the right will lead to the sniping tower. The console here will spawn enemies, but also disables a force-field. Once done, head into the vehicle again and find the next docking station. Leave the vehicle and take care of the Hunters. Once you did this, enter the door, get the ammo, use the console and enter the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Old Tribes [PR.03.12] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Leave the room and head left straight away to enter the next room. It's filled with lasers. Possibility one is to head into SW-mode and deactive it. Option two is to use your crawl and jump skills, like me. Either way, head right to head outside again. Activate the walking-pad and follow it till you found a force-field. Deactivate it and then cross the room (disable the lasers, or just avoid them). Take care of the Hunter outside. Once you stepped outside, a Hunter with a jetpack will show up. Kill them all (some more will show up) and then enter the next room. At the end of the hall you'll find a room with a console. Open the portal and enter it. Press the console here to activate a walking-pad. Head back and find the other door in this room. Head into SW-mode and disable the force-field. Also cross the invisible bridge and enable the walking-pad there too. After that go back to Tommy and step outside, following the path. In the hall, yawn, disable the lasers and follow the path. Get rid of the jetpack-Hunter and keep going. At the end, jump down and jump on the pipes. At the end, jump down to another pipe and then to the floor. Once you reached the end of the bridge, another jetpack-Hunter will show up. Get rid of him and try to enter the door ahead. A demon will show up, so head into SW-mode and take him out. Then enter the door, use the console, enter the portal and shoot. Mount the vehicle and go outside again. Shoot the two moons to... well... get rid of them. Dismount the vehicle and shoot the Hunter near the docking station (not the sniper). Head into SW-mode and follow the trail to the sniping Hunter. Take him out, then quickly enter the portal and take out that Hunter too. Walk back and active the console to open the gate above. Battle the enemies and then get ready for a bit of fun. There are 4 docking stations here. Some have shields around them (if so, dismount, disable it) and others still have their power-supply secured (if so, disable that). The goal is to shoot the hatch away and then drag the power-supply out (with the right mouse button). Once you did this to all four generators, you can fly up, into the duct. Destroy more enemies until you end up in a room with a big tower. Up ahead are some objects blocking a door. Move the objects away (right mouse button) and enter the tower. Dismount the vehicle and move to the guys. They say the priestess is awaiting, and that's it. Let's meet her, then. Meet Elhuit. You'll make a deal with her - you'll save Jen, destroy the Keeper and get back to Earth. Sounds like a good plan to me. Be sure to talk with her a few times afterwards for some more details. After that, enter the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hidden Agenda [PR.03.13] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Enter the room and take care of the zombie. Follow the path into the next room. Using SW-mode, you can disable the lasers. Do so and continue. You'll see the Keeper, but he'll move away. The ship will complain some more to you. Enter the next room and note the new gun. Note the health-pads on the ground. Note how both rooms lead to more healing items and ammo. Could this be.. *shock* a boss battle? COULD IT? COULD IT? Disable both energy supplies in the rooms to release the Shotgun. Then grab it. Then be disappointed by how I made you think there'd be a boss. Kill the load of Hunters and enter the portal. Jen is being tortured, but alive. Disable the screen (poor Tommy doesn't need to see this) and enter the door (only one is open). Take care of the Hunters, get more ammo and then lower the force-field. Go there. Get rid of more Hunters, but ignore the turret. Instead, enter the hall, follow it, cross the room and step into the small chamber. Head into SW-mode and go past the turret. Activate the console here, so the chamber turns 90 degrees. Move on to the next room and do the same, leaving Tommy where he is. After that, switch back to Tommy and take care of the Hunters. Find the portal-box and enter it. Ignore the turret and just move on to find a portal. Enter it and get rid of more zombies. Find the small duct and crawl through it, into a room with some robots and a big walking-pad. Disable the robots, then head into SW-mode and disable the force-field. Take the middle path and ignore the turret, just keep going. You'll find a big fat thing marching around above you. Keep going to end up in a gravity room. It's a bit hard to explain. Basically you need to find the console behind a force field (SW-mode to pass through) and use it so a portal opens. Enter this portal. It's the Keeper... but he flees again, so keep going. Find the hole in the ground and follow that to get outside. Destroy the robots that show up and then enter the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jen [PR.03.14] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Move ahead to the force-field. Go into SW-mode and notice the blood on the door ('2432'). Use that code to lower the force-field and continue as Tommy. Find the small room to heal first, then head through the door. Jen is there, but we can't reach her yet. Note the small duct next to you. Enter it and kill the Hunters on the other side. Stack up ammo and continue. Lower the force-field in SW-mode and cross the room. Ask the zombie to move (and/or shoot it) and use the panel. This will allow new enemies to show up (you haven't seen the big fat ones in action before). Kill them all and then move on. Use the SW-mode to get past the force-field and follow the path until you found a panel to open a door. As Tommy, enter that room and then find the door-portal. Step into it, let your spirit move the door and get out. In the next room, step onto the walking-pad and follow it. Head into the big portal and shoot the enemies. From here, hop into yet the next portal. You'll end up in a room with more of those fat blobs. Kill them all, as fast as possible. A portal will pop up, but first heal yourself, check around for ammo and listen to yet another news broadcast. After that, enter the portal. Find Jen and release her from her prison (activate the console). There is not much time to be happy, since the Keeper is destroying the device needed for teleporting. Take Jen and enter the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Dark Harvest [PR.03.15] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well, big problems. Elhuit is wounded, the Keeper flees and Hunters are all around the place. Kill the Hunters that show up and keep going, while killing Hunters. Eventually you'll eat up outside. Kill the Hunters here and some of those big monsters (of which you took the gun) will show up. Kill them, get rid of any Hunter and... Jen will be taken away again. Go after her into the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Following Her [PR.03.16] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow the path and you'll see the monster that took Jen. Just follow the path and activate the walking-pad. Go there and shoot the enemies. When you find a door enter it for some goodies, then take the other path and follow it. Enter the portal and enter the main room. Kill the enemies here and move on. Use SW-mode to access the console. Select 'floor 1' until the big elevator is down. Step onto it and then use SW-mode to select 'floor 2'. Enter the door. 'Man it's so dark in here, I'm doomed'. Best joke ever. Put your lighter up, so you can see what's coming your way. Shoot the enemies and then deactivate the laser in SW-mode. Be sure to get the ammo from the hidden space behind the console. Grab the ammo in the boxes and continue. Get down into the room and the woman will talk again. Not just that, but it's time for a semi-boss battle. Various half-spider/half-human (I could call them Spider-men, but I think I'll get sued ;p) will show up. They can move around by using the strange looking things in the walls. Kill them all and then find the walking-pad that leads to the highest point. A hatch opened there, so enter it. Check the weapon up ahead - it's the final gun we'll get. Look around and take the other path. Kill the Hunters and... time for gravity play again. Get to the other side and open the door using the panel. Keep going. You'll find a health-thing and once again the new gun. Keep going. Note the big machine. Walk until it blocks your way. When it is coming back and allows you to cross, do so. A window will blow and you'll find another Spider-man inside. The easiest thing to do is to stay outside and shoot it from there. Use the console and head outside. 4 jetpack-Hunters will show up, so get rid of them. Then cross the room again, which is possible since you just activated another machine. At the end you'll find a console. Activate it to disable the laser-beam of the machine. Step onto the second machine and use it to get to the other side. Head to the first machine, but watch out - the beam is still active. When the beam just passed by, enter the machine until you can leave it. Follow the path (hi Spider-man!). Head right and head into SW-mode. Use the bridge and get the ammo. Activate the console to open a passage. A bit further is a hidden area with ammo. Get back to Tommy and use the new passage to enter the door. Inside you'll encounter 2 Spider-men and 2 jetpack-Hunters. Kill them all and then drop down. Use the platforms to go up ahead. The explosive ball will help you open the door. As soon as you did that, a Hunter will appear. Shoot him down and continue. Kill the 2 Puppies and enter the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Complex [PR.03.17] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Another Puppy will attack when you enter the level. Kill it, grab the ammo on the right and then go left. Kill all the Hunters here and disable the alarm system. Find the hole that allows you to walk on the pipes. Follow them into a new room and enter the door on the right. Kill the zombies and get the ammo. There is another news broadcast here, so listen to it. Enter the door here to see an upcoming boss. Head back into the main room and follow the walking-pad till the end. Head into SW-mode before leaving it and disable the lasers. Follow the path and keep killing enemies. After a while you'll find a dead end with a machine in front of you. Watch it get active. The floor below you will drop and you'll end up inside the cube. This is fun. Note there is a box outside the cube. You need to make the box going from A to B, using the path you see. You can do this by using the tiny gravity-pads. When the puzzle is solved, you can use a walking-pad. Continue. Fight a robot and keep following until you find a dead end. Drop down and drop down on the pipes. You've been here before. The machine in the middle of the room is active now, so use it to enter the portal. Kill the 2 Spider-men that are awaiting you. Note the big ship fly up, it takes a while. After that make sure to kill the jeypack-Hunter and enter the portal. Recognize the place? The big fat monster passed this by a bit earlier. Step onto the dead end and activate the console in SW-mode. When it reaches the other side, hop over as Tommy and kill the Hunters. Move along to reach another fun puzzle. Head into SW-mode and active the console. This'll reverse the gravity for around 10 seconds. Push the small box to the other side of the room. When gravity kicks in again, push the big box in front of the hole in the wall, and use the small box to reach the big box. Get it? Good. Grab the ammo and continue. This area may be confusing. It features mirrors/teleporters, so watch out not to shoot yourself. The goal is to end up in a room with 2 Spider-men ;) Kill them and move on, getting the ammo and taking care of the puppies. Another Spider-man shows up. It's up to you if you kill him. Either way, find the console that'll temporarily reverse the gravity. Follow the pipes and use the elevator to go down. Keep going and walking until you found a portal. Enter it. Get rid of the 4 jetpack-Hunters and the demon before going further. Use an explosive ball to unblock the bridge and find the device that turns the gravity around. Because you unblocked the bridge it now falls down and allows you to enter the portal. Yes, enter it. Mount the vehicle and head all the way up. Get rid of the 2 Spider-men and another robot and then find the two docking stations. Pick one, enter through the door and we'll leave this level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ascent [PR.03.18] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Head into SW-mode to get past the lasers and disable them. Then go back to Tommy and enter the room ahead. You'll have to battle various jetpack-Hunters and Droids before you can move on. On the other end of the room you'll find a panel. Use it to open the door. Inside you'll find some ammo. Active the panel to open a ring (and summon a jetpack-Hunter). The room ahead contains some more ammo and the woman will speak again. Go back to the main room and take care of the jetpack-Hunters. Once they are gone, mount a vehicle and enter the ring from below. This will make you go all the way to the top. Once there leave the ship and avoid the turrets. Kill the zombie and then get rid of the turrets. Move one to find a zombie and a news broadcast. Listen to it and then use the console to open the hatch above. Stack up on ammo and enter the ship again. Go up as fast as you can, ignoring all the moons. Just enter the new room to leave those behind. Destroy the enemies here and then find a new path by removing the objects. Enter the tube and get rid of the two turrets (left and right). Inside the new room destroy the Hunter and the turrets and dismount the vehicle. Find the panel and use it to open the door up ahead. Enter the ship again and move on. Ignore the room and head outside. Now this can be fun. Move to the big planet ahead and take care of all the Robots that hang around this place. Then dismount your vehicle at one of the two docking stations (not on the planet, head down towards the building). Kill the Hunter and use the console. Another Hunter will show up, so kill it. Mount the vehicle again and head to the planet. Dismount there and kill the Hunters you encounter. Find the console here and active it, then move back to the vehicle (sup Hunters) and mount it. Using the console near the building, you opened a hatch. Enter the box and move into the ring. The woman will speak again and you'll be transported into a new room. Get rid of the enemies here and dismount. Stock up and ammo and use the console. This will cause new boxes to be created. Two jetpack-Hunters will show up, but just mount a ship and get rid of them. BEFORE a box is created, hover in the right position, so you get 'trapped' inside the box. In the next room leave the box (from the top) and fly around. Soon enough you'll find robots, moons and Hunters. The moons will keep respawning, but take care of the other enemies from inside your ship. When done, dismount and enter the portal for some ammo. Also heal up. Move ahead and reverse gravity. Move to the other side and turn it around again (kill the Hunter too, dummy). When you move near the tube with blue 'stuff', another Hunter will show up. Kill him and then enter SW-mode. Move through the tube and enter the room with the Hunter. Kill it and use the console. Head back to Tommy and move through the tube, into the room, ignoring the turret. Kill the robot and listen to the news broadcast. Enter the room and kill the zombie. Fill your ammo and enter the next room. There is a laser here, but you can just crawl underneath it. Follow the path and kill the 'dog'. Keep going. In the next room take care of the two Robots and then shoot into all the energy sources. A spirit will show up, so get rid of that. Move back into the room with the laser (remember 'F' is for lighter) and enter the hall where used to be a shield-force. Enter the room ahead and fight the Spider-men. Find the gravity pad and shoot it. This will move the room upside down and active the turrets. Destroy them and enter the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Center of Gravity [PR.03.19] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ When you move ahead something will explode, but the power will be back. Leech the ammo if you want it (and you want it, trust me) and enter the room ahead to fight two Spider-men. Kill them and move on. You'll have to fight another two Spider-men. Kill them and leech more ammo. Use the SW-mode to remove the force-field and keep moving. In the next room you'll fight some Hunters. Take care of them and head into SW-mode to get access to the ammo (it's near the force-field). After that enter the portal. Walk to the elevator (it's on the other end) and head into SW-mode to cross a bridge. Active the console and enter the portal. You'll end up inside the room again. Use the console to make Tommy move down. Head back to Tommy and enter the portal, then fall down the garbage vault. Destroy the turret and the robots in here and find the gravity pad. Shoot it to turn the room upside down. The goal is to not end up in the fire, but on the platform. Time your jump. If you fail, it's ok, you can retry it. Look up and shoot the gravity pad, and quickly run into the room ahead, ignoring the turret. Grab the ammo and come back to destroy the turret. But there is not turret. How do you like that? Move on to the right and kill the two jetpack-Hunters. Head into SW-mode and active the walking-pad. Find it and walk over it to the other side. Get rid of all the Hunters and find the docking station. Obviously, mount the ship. Destroy the device and fly up. Destroy the enemies here and dismount. Heal if needed and uses the pipes to get near the planet. Head into SW-mode and find the console to disable the force-field, so Tommy can walk over the planet too. Activate the console to open the big door. Mount the ship and fly there (ignore the Hunters). There are a few enemies here, so take care of those first. Then dismount on the lower planet and use the pipes to navigate to the upper one. Use the console here and head back to the ship, while killing Hunters. Fly up into the hatch that opens and continue to follow the path. Time for a little 'boss' fight. Note the panels floating around the big blue laser. Each one has a device on the inside you need to destroy. One you did that, some of the protection of the laser will float off. Use this gap to destroy around 4 parts. It's hard to see, but once you did it, the thing will explode. The woman will say you are troublesome and Tommy is glad. Fly up into the new hole. Dismount and enter the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Resolutions [PR.03.20] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Move ahead and the woman will talk again. Tommy think she's the Keeper, but she's not (o really). She says some more things about how she's been helping you and that both you and Jen are awaiting a glorious future. Move on. Now this will become really cool. The path ahead will be constructed while you watch. Head left first for some ammo, then take the other path. In the next room she'll say you'll see Jen if you just give up. Tommy won't. Heal and enter the next room, which is outside. As soon as you move on you'll suddenly be trapped and the woman will talk some more. She says you can enter the portal that leads to Jen if you prove your worth. Head into SW-mode and find the console. Active it and let Tommy stand on the big gravity block. Head into SW-mode again and active the console. Switch back to Tommy and stand on the block ahead. Let your spirit active the next console, then let Tommy move to the next block, once again let your spirit active the console and the woman says you 'may proceed'. Listen to her, she's right. Enter the portal and grab the ammo. The woman will say she kept her end of the bargain. Find the next portal and enter it. Leech the final power for the leech-gun and use is to simply destroy the 3 Spider-men and the turret. Heal up and continue. Destroy the enemies and the turret inside and leech more ammo. Then find the console that gives access to a walking-pad. Walk over that in the other end of the room. You'll end up in a room and you'll have to battle quite a lot of enemies. Plenty of ammo. When you're done fighting, the woman will say you keep impressing her. Enter the portal ahead and you'll hear Jen scream. Move forward until you found her. When the area chances into an area, you will need to fight her. Just move away from her and shoot her. When she uses two purple orbs, try to destroy them, since they'll heal her. Once they are gone, you can kill her. Yes, kill her. Tommy will scream for his grandfather and you'll be taken away. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Oath of Vengeance [PR.03.21] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Find your grandfather. Tommy want vengeance. You need to fill seven trials. Head into the spirit cave. Get the health upgrade, and you'll hear the woman speak. Return outside and kill all the enemies. When a blue portal opens, enter it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Facing the Enemy [PR.03.22] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start to shoot the enemies. Tommy will be hateful and scream stuff like 'die!'. After a while a portal will open, so enter it. Use the panel here and move on. You'll find some kind of power generator. Use one of the consoles to open the generator and shoot an arrow in SW-mode. Then cross the bridge and active the console so Tommy can cross the room. Keep going. You'll end up in a big room with more enemies. Fight them, patch up and then let Tommy stand near one of the two consoles. Head into SW-mode, active the other console, switch back to Tommy so he can active the other and then head onto the elevator. Continue. The Keeper will finally show up, and tell you humans were created for the mere function of food. Finally we'll get to fight him. First he'll summon quite some enemies, so get rid of them. After that he'll show up himself. Hide behind a pillar and keep shooting at him. After the right the woman will say it's not over yet, spin the room around and let you fall into a portal. Keep going. Heal yourself and get the ammo. In the next room you'll... battle two more Keepers. Fine. Kill them and move on. In the next part you'll battle one Keeper. Use the walking-pad to fight another one and just move on. In this room you will fight 4 Keepers that are sideways. Find the walking-pad and move on. Enter the portal. Inside you'll mostly simply battle more Keepers. Just keep going and going until you end up in a room with a truckload of idle Keepers. The woman will tell you she could kill you in an instant, but won't. Instead, she kills all her Keepers and tell you to come to her. Enter the portal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mother's Embrace [PR.03.23] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Heal yourself and then turn around. 'Mother' will invite you. Enter the ship. It's different from what you used before. Use the right mouse button to pull yourself towards the planet, then use the left mouse button to 'activate' a beacon. The goal is to turn every blue beacon into a yellow one. Once you did that, you'll see 'Mother'. She will explain some things and then you'll have to fight her. Head into SW-mode and shoot the force-fields around her. Then use a real gun to shoot at the force-field that have static. Once all force-fields are taken away, Talon will sacrifice itself and fly straight into mother. You'll end up at some platform out of stone and mother. It's time to finish her. This fight is really easy, since even I didn't die. You'll find three consoles over this area. When you press one, a device will hover in the sky. When mother is near, shoot the device to lower her shield. Then shoot her. Avoid her attacks and keep going until she dies. Tommy will take the place of mother, but decide to destroy the Sphere. After meeting with grandfather and Jen, Tommy will go to the mortal world once more. 6 months later... Tommy is in the bar and suddenly Elhuit shows up, telling you someone wants to meet you. Enter the portal and... Prey will continue... Good job, you beat the game. ============================================================================== Weapons [PR.04.01] ============================================================================== Wrench (Hotkey: 1) The basic weapon you'll use until you get yourself a Hunter Rifle. Does little damage and shouldn't be taken too seriously. Primary Attack: Horizontal attacks Secondary Attack: Vertical attacks Hunter Rifle (Hotkey: 2) The first long-ranged weapon you'll fight. The gun recharges itself when empty, so there's never a moment you're out of ammo. Primary Attack: Rifle shots Secondary Attack: Sniper Crawler (Hotkey: 3 or G) The grenade of the game. It's actually a creature, but does just as much damage. Primary Attack: Throw the crawler and it'll attack like a grenade Secondary Attack: Throw the crawler and it'll explode as soon as it touches something Leech Gun (Hotkey: 4) The most interesting gun of the game. You leech ammo and then use it. Only one kind of energy can be leeched at a time, so make sure you think about your choice. The kinds of energies are plasma (red plasma balls will be shot), ice (it'll freeze your enemies), thunder (it shoots powerful rays of thunder) and beam (this'll fry your enemies with a powerful beam, and turn them into ashes). Primary Attack: Fire Secondary Attack: Leech Cannon (Hotkey: 5) The gun you'll steal from a boss. It shoots big bullets at the enemy. Primary Attack: Shoot bullets Secondary Attack: Shoot explosive bullets Acid Shotgun (Hotkey: 6) It somehow feels a bit like a shotgun to me, hence the name. It sprays acid over enemies, making them regret ever being born. Primary Attack: Sprays acid Secondary Attack: Shoot a small bottle with acid Launcher (Hotkey: 7) The RPG of the game. Shoots tiny baby aliens away that explode. Primary Attack: Shoot the alien baby away Secondary Attack: Acts like a shield Bow When in SW-mode, you'll be able to shoot a bow. ============================================================================== Enemies [PR.05.01] ============================================================================== Most enemies never get mentioned in the game, making it hard to name them. I'll try my best. Fodder - Labelled as 'puppies' in my walkthrough. Annoying little creatures, but easy as well. Hounds - More advanced versions of the Fodders. Labelled as 'dogs' in my walkthrough. They somehow reminds me of the Imps of Doom 3, even though they don't shoot fireballs. Hunter - The enemies you'll encounter most in the game. They use both functions of the Hunter Rifle. Mutilated Humans - Labelled as 'zombies' in my walkthrough. The manual suggest to leave them alone. I suggest to kill them, since that'll release them from their misery. Kids - The demon ghosts of kids. They have a weird ghostly attack, and are a pain in the ass due to the numbers in which they arrive. Luckily you only have to fight them twice in the game. Turrets - Guess what. They only attack if the alarm is activated. Jetpack-Hunters - Not really sure if it's a Hunter to begin with, but who cares? Annoying flying creates that shoot explosive acid your way. Jellyfishes - Big flying creatures that look like jellyfishes. They will try to grab you with your tentacles and hurt you. Mutates - Mutated humans that now are big, fat, ugly and carry a claw around. They take quite some hits to take down. Centurions - At first a boss, later on a 'common' enemy. They carry big cannons around, but are a breeze later on. Robots - Flying robots that shoot rockets or plasma balls. They can teleport a bit when it comes to small distances. Mutilated Jen - I won't say too much to keep the spoilers low. She attacks with melee attacks, lasers and whatnot. After a while she'll use two orbs to gain health. Destroy those to be able to defeat her. Keepers - At first a boss, later on a 'common' enemy. They teleport away quite often. When they get the chance, they'll throw objects at you, otherwise they'll just attack you. Mother - The one who controls the ship. For the final boss, she's a laugh. If some enemies are missing, let me know. ============================================================================== Allies [PR.06.01] ============================================================================== Tommy - You. The hero. At first you hate your Indian roots, but as you proceed through the game, you'll respect it and even learn to live with it. Jen - Tommy's girlfriend. More into the Indian stuff than Tommy is, causing them to collide at that point. She runs the bar where you are at the beginning of the game. Enisi - The grandfather of Tommy. He is all the way into the Indian thing. Hider - A strange man who helps you during the beginning stage of the game. He, for example, helps you get off the ride at the beginning of the game. Elhuit - Also known as the 'priestess'. She runs a secret 'organisation' that plan on building a teleporter, so you can all go back home to Earth. ============================================================================== Cheats [PR.07.01] ============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Console Cheats [PR.07.02] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hold CTRL + ALT + ~ to open the console.
